If you thought present distractions were bad

Well then you really aren’t prepared for what’s in store. We here at Miami Web Design Pro have been perusing the web, and we stumbled across an old-time classic that has a new twist. To promote Namco-Bandai, the creators of the arcade classic Pacman, have created what it’s calling the World’s Biggest Pac-Man game.

Soap Creative was the designer of the original Pac-Man website, and last week they created the online game. Since then users have gobbled up over 270 million dots. That’s not the only impressive number: fans have helped created more than 12,600 interlocking mazes. Players can play on multiple mazes in a single game. The exits that let you zoom to the other side of a maze in the original version of the game transport you to the next maze in this one.

People have deemed it an internet sensation, but it’s also considered the biggest-waste of time. Especially when you don’t want to be doing what you have to do. The project grew out of a collaboration between Namco and Microsoft Australia, and uses HTML5, the emerging tool for building web applications (and the latest version of HTML, the most popular coding language).

The game’s main page reveals some styles that mimic the original mazes, while others have added their own personal touches. You can find anything mushrooms to walls that appears like self-portraints. Now that’s creativity.

Well now that we’ve completely touched your curiosity, try not spend too much time on it ;)
