Look around and you will notice the social networking frenzy, even in businesses. With a even a movie coming out about Facebook everyone thinks Facebook is the go-to destination to attract customers. But is Facebook for you? Below MarketingProfs gave us a glimpse on some Facebook statistics:

• The average Facebook user is 37 years old. And it is the fastest growing group on Facebook, but all ages are well represented on Facebook.
• The United States and Europe have the most users. The US and Europe are leading the way in Facebook users. In August 2009, Europe scored the highest number of Facebook users (nearly 131 million), followed by North America (106.28 million).
• Facebook is the social networking choice for ethnic minorities in the United States. All minority groups sampled for a 2010 report use Facebook more than YouTube, MySpace and Twitter.
• Asian users use the site almost 20% more than other minority groups.

By knowing the Facebook stats you are well aware of your audience. If your ideal audience isn’t found on Facebook then you won’t waste your time, and we all know time is money.
