Six Little Tricks that Your Site Needs

The Internet has every kind of website imaginable, each one different and unique in its own way; but no matter how far alike two websites may be they all need to have a couple of staples. Miami Web Design Pro is about to run down the list of things that every website should have.

1. A Useful and Well-thought of Title. That is what is on the title bar of your browser. The content title should come before the site, because it helps users search and navigate through your site, letting them know exactly where they are. Each page should have it’s own title. For example on our website it could read: “About Us| Miami Web Design Pro.”
2. Speaking of navigation, a proper navigation menu is necessary. It needs to be consistent and easy to use, make it so that the average user can get around easily.
3. A site map may not be needed to smaller websites, but if you own a site with more pages, or plan on expanding eventually, a site map should be in your immediate future. It is just easier for customers to find what they are looking for, instead of getting frustrated, and leaving.
4. Your website needs to be accessible. Do not fall victim to pages that need to redirected or website that’s say error on the home page. The potential customer will not come back.
5. A way to reach you or the company. While this may seem obvious some companies don’t do it, which makes them seem fake and not legitimate. You need to be held accountable somehow, and your customers need to be able to reach you; just make sure it’s secure, for example do not put your personal e-mail on your web site, perhaps a company telephone number or secure contact form can do the trick.
6. Standardized Markup, these are things that are consistent through the Internet, like CSS and a valid HTML.

Now that you know these 6 steps you need to go apply them so that your website, while still unique, can be manageable and easy to understand.
